This course has been designed by:

Sarah Harris, 2nd Generation Master Pilates Teacher with a degree in teaching, also considered an official disciple of Lolita San Miguel. 

Philip Harris a Chartered Physiotherapist with a masters degree who works with professional athletes and runs a full-time physio clinic.

Active IQ guidelines in achieving the criteria required for the Diploma aspect of this qualification.

Blended Learning:
*Online resources
*E-learning pack for anatomy
*Hard copy resources posted to you (if outside the UK - extra postage fees will be arranged)
*Videos to help you practice at home
*Cover most of the theory at home
*1-1 Zoom sessions to support your journey with a HMB Tutor / Assessor
*2x minimum face-to-face training days to develop your teaching skills and greater depth knowledge of the method.
*You can book onto extra face-to-face training days
*Learner Achievement Portfolio (LAP) consists of 7 units in total
*Work can be emailed in for marking
*2x anatomy multiple choice tests
*Practical exam (you can record and send us a copy) - this is the final part of the course

You are encouraged to complete this course with in 1 year - so your online access is limited to 1 year.

If you need longer, we ask that you discuss this with your HMB Tutor before the 1 year mark to discuss how we can best help you.

If it has passed the 1 year mark without this discussion we will try to support you as best as we can to find the best path for you but please note this will incur additional costs.

Please also note that when you email mark in for working all students are to allow six weeks for their work to be marked and returned. We do encourage you to hand your work in section by section as this can really help you feel as if you working your way through the course.

We will do all that we can to support you.

You may be able to get Approved Prior Learning (APL) credit if you have done other fitness training courses. Please email us ti find out more.

Pre requisites:
*16+ years old
*Some knowledge of Pilates
*Prepared to study at L3 Diploma level
*Understands that you will be asked to email work / view content online / access to video calling / can attend face-to-face training  /  able to recorded your final exam and get it to you HMB Assessor for marking.

This is a demanding course, which will take time to complete but it is also a wonderful journey. You have 7 units of work to complete but we will guide you each step of the way.
The units of work include:
*2x multiple choice anatomy tests
*Lesson plans
*Practical exam
*Each online lesson guides you towards or though the units


We have broken the payment up to help spread the cost. So you can pay as you go!

Lesson one is the most expensive, this gives you access to all your hard copy resources and allows you to start  / complete / begin revising for the first 4 units.

You will immediately get access to lesson one, once your payment is processed.

As you complete each lesson you then have the option to purchase the next lesson.

You will also have some forms to complete and send to us, including your providing us with your address, so we can arrange to get your recourses to you as quickly as possible. If you live near The Atrium in Thatcham, we can arrange for you to collect your resources too.

In summary, purchases lesson one - you will then have access lesson 1, which will then guide you on what to next and when.

Through this legacy Sarah is proudly an official disciple of Lolita San Miguel and 2nd Generation Master Pilates Teacher. Sarah also has a degree in teaching plus a qualified assessor and verifier.

Philip Harris is a chartered Physiotherapist with a masters degree, has worked with Athletes in Rugby such as the Barbarians, 2012 London Olympics, Commonwealth Games and much more.

Sarah has designed this course for you with the benefit of Philip's knowledge and experience added in. This is an actual qualification, this is where AIQ help. As a registered AIQ training school we can ensure you meet the standards and more to achieve this national framework qualification. This Level 3 Diploma is considered equal to one A'level and we will ensure you go above and beyond the minimum requirement to pass to help you be the best teacher that you.

You will also be able to access REPs Level 3 teacher status, this will allow you to work in Health Clubs, Cruise Ships or set up by yourself. You can also register to the REP's equivalent in other countries. For example Sarah is registered with the International Confederation of Registers for Exercise Professionals (ICREPs) due to her links of training and certification in the USA. You could sign up to REP's here in the UK, please note you don't have too, it comes at a cost but some Health Clubs may require that you do.

Some people would like to enjoy the learning aspect of this course and are not interested is passing the exams and becoming a qualified teacher, they want to do this just for themselves. This is absolutely fine and we are very happy to support you, the cost does not change but we will tailor our time with you to suit this need. For example during your Zoom 1-1 sessions later on in the course it is up to you how you choose to use this time with your tutor. The course is written as if you will do the exams but you can skip and move around the course to best suit you.

If you are a qualified Physio or other medical professional wanting to add Pilates to your clinic, we are also very happy to help and our team of Physio's can also offer you some support and advice on setting up clinical Pilates classes as small groups or as a 1-1 used as another treatment tool.

Philip and Sarah are husband and wife with 3 children, they own and run The Atrium in Thatcham. This is a busy physio clinic and Pilates studio, there are 6 physios, 10 teachers, office staff and complimentary therapist as well as the training school team. We all practice what we preach and would love for you to visit us at The Atrium so you can join in a class and more. Of course your face-to-face training days could be there too.
