We are proud to bring bone health screening to our community.
Your skeleton renews itself completely roughly every 10 years. That means right now, your body is actively
rebuilding. Give it the information and support it needs to rebuild stronger. Book your Screen My Bones scan
today.
Here is why booking your Screen My Bones scan now makes sense. Bone loss is gradual and silent. By the time
most people find out they have a problem, significant decline has already happened. A scan today means you are
ahead of the curve, not catching up to it. That is what Choose Strength really means.

Screen My Bones – Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know before, during and after your bone health scan at Harris Mind & Body.
I've booked my scan. What do I need to do before my appointment?
The most important thing is to register on the Screen My Bones platform, complete your personal information and sign the required disclaimer before attending.
This ensures your account is ready for your appointment and your personalised bone health report can be uploaded directly to your results portal afterwards.
If you have any special requirements or need additional assistance, please let us know before your visit.
What should I wear?
There's no need for special clothing. Comfortable, loose-fitting trousers and a top are ideal.
Please ensure you wear underwear, as we'll need you to briefly adjust your clothing to expose your hip and tummy during the scans.
You won’t need to undress completely, and we’ll provide a disposable modesty sheet to keep you comfortably covered throughout the procedure.
Can I eat and drink before my scan?
We recommend avoiding large meals and excessive drinks for two hours before your appointment.
A very full tummy can make scanning your lumbar spine through your abdominal area a little more challenging.
What happens during my scan?
The procedure is simple, painless and radiation-free. You'll be asked to lie comfortably on your back on our treatment couch while we scan two areas.
Your hip: We'll ask you to lower your trousers to just above your knees to access your left hip. A little ultrasound gel is applied, and you may feel some gentle pressure during the scan. This takes less than a minute.
Your spine: We'll then scan your lumbar spine (lower back) through your abdomen (tummy). You'll simply need to adjust your waistband to expose your tummy. Again, we'll use a little ultrasound gel and gentle downward pressure. This scan usually takes less than two minutes.
We'll also record your height and weight to support your personalised report.
Your entire appointment takes no more than 30 minutes.
Will I receive my results during my appointment?
No. Although your scans are carried out by our qualified screeners, they cannot discuss findings, interpret results or provide a diagnosis during your appointment.
Your results must first be processed and reported through the Screen My Bones service. This ensures that information is provided through the appropriate reporting process.
When and how will I receive my results?
Your personalised bone health report will usually be available within 1–3 days of your appointment, often sooner.
You'll receive an email notification at your registered email address when your report is ready.
Simply log in to your Screen My Bones results portal to view your findings.
Will someone help me understand my results?
Absolutely! Your Screen My Bones platform provides helpful guidance and educational resources to support your understanding of your report.
You'll also have access to a growing library of expert-led content covering important bone health topics, including nutrition, supplements, exercise and lifestyle.
What if I want a face-to-face appointment to discuss my results?
If you'd like more personalised support, you can book a face-to-face consultation with one of our physiotherapists at Harris Mind & Body to discuss your results and explore your next steps. The Harris Mind and Body team will be delighted to help you.

Physiotherapy – Expert Guidance & Personalised Support
Our physiotherapists can help you understand your results, assess your movement, balance and physical capabilities, and develop a personalised plan to improve strength, mobility and reduce your risk of falls and injury.
Clinical Pilates – Build Strength, Stability & Confidence
Our small-group Clinical Pilates sessions combine controlled movement with targeted strengthening, including appropriate weight-bearing and resistance exercises to support bone health. We focus on posture, balance, core strength and functional movement to help you stay strong and active.

Our gait analysis assesses how you walk and distribute weight through your feet and lower limbs, helping us identify movement patterns or imbalances that may affect your stability. Where appropriate, personalised orthotics can help improve foot support, comfort and walking mechanics.
PelviPower – Strength from Within
PelviPower uses advanced magnetic stimulation technology to activate the pelvic floor and associated deep muscle structures, supporting an often-overlooked foundation of physical wellbeing.
It can be a valuable addition to your wider strengthening programme, particularly in supporting:

Pelvic stability and muscular control
-
Confidence with everyday movement and activity

Bladder and bowel control, where appropriate
Combined with physiotherapy and strengthening exercise, PelviPower can form part of a more comprehensive approach to physical function and healthy ageing.
